Wisdom about feeling your feelings from Eckhart Tolle.

“I have lived with several Zen masters – all of them cats.” - Eckhart Tolle

I remember years ago hearing about this book everyone was talking about. Fast forward to Winter 2023. What a great time to start reading that book. After about 30 pages in I found myself whispering to friends, “Hey, there’s no time like the now.

The author of the book does indeed talk much about the power of the present (I figured that much), but he also progresses far beyond what I learned during the Chicken Soup for the Soul days. Perhaps this was because it was no longer 1993, and I have lived and learned far more than my 10-year-old self could have imagined. Even more relevant was the timing. I read this book during a time in my life that a massive amount of changes had been taking place. I had gone through some of the best times of my life, and some of the worst times in my life in a mere 3 months.

My mother-in-law handed me the book, “This one is in English, you can borrow it if you would like,” she told me one afternoon. The book was covered with a light shade of purple paper, something she does to protect her books and keep them in good shape. I opened the book and read the title, The Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle.

Oooooh, this is going to be goooood.
